Head of Nightlife

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as Head of Nightlife. If you always wanted to build your own club, if you are into House, Techno, Metaverse, NFTs, Digital Art and are interested in reinventing a club experience we want to hear from you.  ONLY CANDIDATES WITH DEEP NYC NIGHTCLUB MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE ARE INVITED TO APPLY.

SUMMARY

As the Head of Nightlife you will be responsible for the entire segment of VR World nightlife operations. You will develop a plan for rollout, and oversee the operations from programming through bookings, staffing, admission and sales. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 years plus GM or similar experience in NYC club / nightlife 
  • Independent, results driven, high energy candidate passionate about the future of nightlife, hospitality and mixed reality.
  • Self-starter, creative, outstanding work ethic, ability to budget and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Confidence, ability to open doors, secure high level meetings with key decision makers
  • Demonstrated strong network in entertainment / consumer / lifestyle
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

Floor Manager

As a Floor Manager, you will manage a team of 30+ Guest Experience Guides. Working under the General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, providing for a smooth and excellent guest experience with a strong focus on strong customer service skills. The success of the individual will be based on targets set on daily profitability, visitor reviews, ability to operate in a quick pace environment, exhibiting situational flexibility, leadership, and owner’s mentality.

We will only contact candidates that have experience at a supervisory level within entertainment venues, arenas, attractions, or hospitality. Please do not apply if you do not have experience working in these industries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present and maintain VR World NYC highest standard of service and user experience
  • Manage up to 30 team members on an assigned shift
  • Act as a Manager On-Duty by overseeing and coordinating Front of the House staff
  • Conduct staff reviews, inductions, probationary sign-off, appraisals, and interviews
  • Ensure highest Brand Standard in appearance, cleanliness, health, safety & security within the workplace
  • Enforce company set policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned – hands-on attitude is a MUST

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of service industry experience required in a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, hotel or fast-paced retail environment
  • Self–motivated strong leader with proven success supervising operational teams
  • Passion for providing excellent experiences to our guests is critical
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary
  • Extensive knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus in VR, gaming, entertainment
  • Help identify and implement opportunities for improvement
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including Saturday and Sunday, holidays and special events
  • College degree preferred




Guest Experience Guide

ABOUT THE ROLE

Guest Experience Guide is the embodiment of both the VR World vision and values to our guests. Guides have the responsibility of preparing guests to engage with VR. Most importantly, you will inspire the average guest to ascend to his or her most playful and curious self, while breaking through mental boundaries for a life-changing experience. Guides must have a magnetic personality for creating an amazing customer experience. You must be professional, able to multitask, remain pleasant under pressure, and provide warm and attentive service. VR World is a collaborative team and startup, and we want like minded individuals to bring ideas and actions to provide better service to our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • We are all about hospitality at VR World, and you’ll be a major part of it! You will welcome and guide our guests through each experience from onboarding, explaining the content, and cheering while they’re in play!
  • Encourage guests to leave with personalized videos, photos, and stories to share with friends.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support when issues arise and communicate it to our Tech team.
  • Maintain the daily day-to day aesthetic appeal of our venue
  • Follow safety procedures to ensure guests safety

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of service industry experience required in a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, hotel or fast-paced retail environment
